Building Stronger Communities Great Book Swap

Share a Book. Discover a Story. Make a Difference.

Building Stronger Communities is proud to support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation’s 2026 Great Book Swap.

This community event will bring people together through books and storytelling while raising funds to help provide culturally relevant books—including books in First Languages—to children and families in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.

How the Book Swap Works

  • Bring along a new or gently used children’s book.
  • Make a donation to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
  • Choose another book to take home and enjoy.
  • Share the joy of reading while helping support children in remote Communities.

Donate Children’s Books

SWR 99.9 FM is supporting the Building Stronger Communities Great Book Swap by collecting children’s books for the event.

If you have any new or gently used children’s books you would like to donate, please place them in the designated Book Swap collection chest at SWR.

Contact SWR office to arrange a drop off time on 02 96760999

Your donated books will help us create a wonderful selection for children and families attending the event.
